QualityLogic, one of the world's foremost quality assurance organizations, recently tested the performance of HP Color LaserJet print cartridges vs. remanufactured brands. The results: original HP cartridges far surpassed remanufactured in reliability and print quality.1
- 80.1% of all remanufactured color toner cartridges tested had reliability problems.
- Nearly 1 out of 6 remanufactured color toner cartridges tested was dead on arrival or failed prematurely.

QualityLogic compared the color in remanufactured cartridges against the color produced by original HP LaserJet print cartridges. They found that all the tested remanufactured brands demonstrated noticeable color differences when compared to HP's colors.
In addition, QualityLogic found that remanufactured brands had a significantly higher amount of color inconsistency over the life of the cartridge than HP's.
