HP Deskjets bring borderless photos, full bleeds in-house

Your marketing materials can look like they came straight from a print shop even when you produce them in-house -- with HP's borderless printing capabilities. HP's new Deskjet printers allow you to enjoy more design flexibility and affordable, eye-catching documents.

Printing without borders

Traditionally, printing all the way to the paper's edge -- a "bleed," in publishing terms -- has required the services of a print shop, and, likewise, the costs. But now HP is introducing a way to print with or without borders, with the addition of its new HP Deskjet 3650, 5150, and 5650 colour inkjet printers.

It can be obvious -- sometimes painfully so -- when your brochures, flyers and other marketing documents are produced on an in-house printer, especially when they display that telltale white border from printer margin settings you can't override. HP's new Deskjet printers allow you to leave that border behind and print full-page photos, client comps that you don't have to trim, and pieces that incorporate more creative design elements.

You can print borderless up toA4 on the HP Deskjet 5150 and 5650. The HP Deskjet 3650 allows for 10 x 15 cm borderless printing (3/4 bleed). HP's Premium Plus Photo Papers enhance your borderless photo printing by delivering vibrant, consistent colour, accurate skin tones, and rich high-contrast black.

Fast and easy printing

With these advances, HP allows you to stretch your budget -- and, at the same time, continue to enjoy the efficiency HP has always brought to your printing environment.

All three printers deliver professional-quality documents, at up to 4800-optimized dpi or optional 6-ink colour for true-to-life photos that won't fade for generations. You'll also enjoy fast output. The HP Deskjet 3650 prints 17 pages per minute (ppm) black and 12 ppm colour; the HP Deskjet 5150 prints up to 19 ppm black, and up to 14 ppm colour; and the HP Deskjet 5650 is even faster, with up to 21 ppm black and up to 15 ppm colour.

These three printers are designed for ease of use, offering a menu with five print modes to help you optimize print quality and speeds. In addition, both the Deskjet 5150 and the 5650 models offer an ink back-up system, so they complete your job even if one cartridge runs out of ink.

The HP Deskjet 5650 printer offers advanced features such as a button right on the front of the printer that allows you to set print speed and quality, and automatic selection of paper type for the best print quality.

Not only is the printing itself easy -- HP simplifies supplies ordering and maintenance with its patented smart printing technology. This technology alerts you when your HP supplies are low; indicates how many pages can be printed from remaining supplies; and conveniently connects you to the Internet for easy online ordering.

Connections, connections

Choose the HP Deskjet 5150 or 5650 printers when users must share the same printer. Both models can be upgraded to incorporate HP Jetdirect print accessories for optimum performance and connectivity.

Media handling

The HP Deskjet 3650 ships with a100-sheet paper tray that folds up to save space when not in use. Both the HP Deskjet 5150 and 5650 feature 150-sheet paper trays and can be upgraded to include an optional two-sided printing accessory that enables you to save paper--and money. You can also add an additional 250-sheet paper tray to the HP Deskjet 5650 for maximum efficiency.
